The Flinders Wharf. Your luxury island retreat.

The Design Story of the Wharf is inspired by the layered horizons and shifting coastal light captured in Fred Williams’ Flinders Island paintings. Calm architectural lines, natural textures and weathered coastal materials create spaces that feel grounded, restorative and deeply connected to place. Drawing on both Nordic maritime design and the rugged spirit of Bass Strait, the Wharf blends warmth, simplicity and timeless island character.

Wellbeing and relaxation. Island style.

Once a working part of the island, the Whitemark Wharf has taken on a new life, becoming a place to gather, unwind and connect.

Set along the shoreline, it brings together communal spaces, considered interiors and uninterrupted views of the ocean. Carefully designed, our purpose-built space is intended to balance shared living and private retreat.

The Wharf has a number of configurations that are ideal for couples, group travel and solo adventurers.

Slow, considered luxury on the water

Our premium accommodation offers a refined sanctuary that feels calm, grounded, and deeply connected to place. The design embraces soft tones and natural textures, utilising honest materials that echo the wharf’s working history while inviting you to settle into a quiet magic.

Each room is a simple and considered retreat of effortless, thoughtful comfort, a private space to reset, breathe, and wake to the shifting light over the turquoise waters of the Bass Strait. This is luxury embedded in care and craft.
