Effective Date: 14th August, 2026

These Booking Terms & Conditions form part of your agreement with A Taste of Flinders Pty Ltd, trading as Outscape Flinders Island (“Outscape”, “we”,“our” or “us”).

By making abooking with Outscape, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreeto these Booking Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Philosophy

Outscape offers premium hosted journeys designed to create a deep connection to place, people and nature.

Our experiences are carefully curated; however, Flinders Island is a remote destination where weather, tides, seasonal conditions and local opportunities help shape every departure. Flexibility is part of the Outscape experience.

2. Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed once:

• Your completed booking has been received.
• The required deposit has been paid.
• You receive written confirmation from Outscape.

Bookings are subject to availability.

3. Pricing

• All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD).
• Prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
• Prices may change without notice prior to booking confirmation.
• Once your booking is confirmed, your price is guaranteed.

4. Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per person is required to secure your booking.

Your reservation is not confirmed until this deposit has been received.

5. Final Payment

Final payment is due 30 days prior to departure.

If final payment is not received by the due date, Outscape reserves the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.

If a booking is made within 30 days of travel, then 100% of the payment is due.

6. Guest Cancellations

Should you need to cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees apply:

More than 91 days: Deposit retained

90–61 days: 50% of total booking value

60–31 days: 75% of total booking value

30 days or less: 100% of booking value

No refunds are available once travel has commenced.

If Outscape is able to resell your place, we may, at our sole discretion, provide a partial refund less administration and recovery costs.

7. Changes to Bookings

If you wish to amend your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.

While we will always do our best to accommodate changes, amendments cannot be guaranteed and additional charges may apply.

8. Cancellations by Outscape

Outscape reserves the right to cancel or postpone departures due to:

• Insufficient guest numbers
• Severe weather or natural disasters
• Government restrictions
• Operational requirements
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

If we cancel your departure prior to travel, you may choose to:

• Transfer to another scheduled departure; or
• Receive a full refund of monies paid directly to Outscape.

Outscape is not responsible for any additional travel, accommodation or incidental expenses booked independently.

9. Minimum Guest Numbers

Scheduled departures require a minimum number of guests to operate.

Should minimum numbers not be met, guests will be offered an alternative departure or a full refund.

10. Flights

Where your package includes flights, these will be arranged by Outscape as outlined in your booking confirmation.

Flight schedules remain subject to airline availability and operational changes.

Guests are responsible for arranging travel to and from the nominated departure airport.

Outscape accepts no responsibility for airline delays, cancellations or schedule changes.

11. Itinerary Changes

Flinders Island is a dynamic natural environment.

To ensure the safest and highest quality experience, Outscape reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather, tides, seasonal conditions, road access, local events, supplier availability or operational requirements.

This may include:

• Changing the order of activities
• Substituting experiences
• Altering meal locations
• Replacing local hosts or suppliers
• Adjusting walking routes
• Changing departure times

Where possible, replacement experiences will be of equal or greater value.

These changes form part of the Outscape experience and do not entitle guests to compensation or refunds.

12. Local Experiences

Many Outscape experiences feature local producers, artists, farmers and community members.

Occasionally these experiences may change due to seasonal availability or unforeseen circumstances.

Where this occurs, Outscape will provide an alternative experience of comparable quality wherever possible.

13. Wildlife

Wildlife encounters are one of the highlights of Flinders Island.

As all wildlife is encountered in its natural environment, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

14. Fitness Requirements

Guests should possess a moderate level of fitness.

Experiences may include:

• Beach walking
• Bush tracks
• Granite terrain
• Uneven surfaces
• Moderate hikes
• Swimming in natural environments

If you are unsure whether an experience is suitable, please contact Outscape prior to booking.

15. Medical Conditions & Dietary Requirements

Guests must advise Outscape of any:

• Medical conditions
• Allergies
• Dietary requirements
• Injuries
• Mobility limitations
• Medications that may affect participation

While every effort is made to cater for dietary requirements, this cannot always be guaranteed in remote locations.

16. Wellness Activities

Wellness sessions are optional.

Guests participate at their own discretion and should advise their guide of any injuries or medical conditions before participating.

17. Guest Responsibilities

To ensure everyone enjoys the experience, guests agree to:

• Follow the directions of Outscape hosts and guides.
• Respect local communities, private property and fellow travellers.
• Care for the natural environment.
• Wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
• Act responsibly around wildlife.
• Behave in a respectful manner at all times.

Outscape reserves the right to remove any guest whose behaviour places themselves, other guests or staff at risk.

No refund will be provided in these circumstances.

18. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Your policy should include cover for:

• Trip cancellation
• Medical expenses
• Personal belongings
• Travel delays
• Emergency evacuation

Outscape accepts no responsibility for losses that could reasonably have been covered by travel insurance.

19. Liability

Participation in Outscape experiences may involve outdoor activities, remote environments, uneven terrain, changing weather and other inherent risks associated with travel in natural environments.

Outscape takes reasonable care in planning and delivering its experiences; however, guests remain responsible for exercising reasonable care for their own safety and following the instructions of guides, hosts and activity providers.

Nothing in these Booking Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, A Taste of Flinders Pty Ltd trading as Outscape Flinders Island will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

20. Photography & Marketing

During your experience, photographs or video may be captured for Outscape marketing, promotional and storytelling purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please advise Outscape prior to your departure or notify your host during the experience.

We will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference.

21. Privacy

Outscape respects your privacy.

Personal information is collected only for the purposes of managing your booking and delivering your experience.

Information will not be disclosed except where required by law or necessary to fulfil your booking.

22. Force Majeure

Outscape shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or changes arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Severe weather
• Bushfires
• Flooding
• Pandemics
• Government restrictions
• Industrial action
• Airline disruptions
• Natural disasters

23. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia.

Any disputes arising under these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania.

The Outscape Experience

We ask every guest to:

• Respect the island, its people and its wildlife.
• Embrace the slower pace of island life.
• Support fellow travellers and contribute to a welcoming group environment.
• Follow the guidance of your hosts.
• Leave every place as you found it - or better.
