A Wellness Retreat for Our Flinders Island Community

We’re opening the doors to Outscape with The Reset — a one-night wellness retreat created especially for our local community. Join us for yoga, meditation, sauna, ice bath, beautiful food, time in nature and, most importantly, time to slow down.

Friday 30th October 2026

The Reset

Before we officially welcome guests to Outscape, we wanted to begin a little closer to home.

The Reset is an intimate one-night wellness retreat created especially for our Flinders Island community, and an opportunity to be among the first to stay with us and experience the new Outscape space.

Arrive on Friday afternoon. Step away from the usual rhythm for a night. And leave on Saturday feeling rested, refreshed and hopefully carrying a little of it home with you.

A little space for yourself

The Reset has been created around a simple idea: sometimes we need space.

Space to slow down. To move. To breathe. To eat well. To spend time outside. To sleep. And perhaps, for a little while, to do absolutely nothing.

Over the retreat, Sofie Bach and Laura Tilley will gently guide you through yoga, meditation, breathwork, reflection and time in nature.

There will be Hatha and Yin yoga, guided meditation, silent walking, journaling and plenty of room between it all to simply be.

You’ll also experience our new sauna and ice bath, with contrast therapy sessions incorporated into the retreat.

Your hosts

The Reset will be gently held by Sofie Bach and Laura Tilley, bringing together movement, breath, meditation and quiet reflection.

There will be structure when you need it, and plenty of space when you don’t.

Their intention is simple: to give you the time and tools to re-centre, reset and reconnect.

Sofie Bach

Sofie is a Flinders Island-based yoga teacher with more than a decade of teaching experience and a background in Sport Science.

Drawing on her knowledge of anatomy, physiology, philosophy and psychology, Sofie brings a thoughtful and intuitive approach to movement. Her additional training in dance influences a practice that encourages people to listen to their own bodies and follow their own intuition.

Sofie has practised yoga since her late teens and today holds regular classes on Flinders Island, creating a welcoming space for people to re-centre, reset and reconnect.

For The Reset, Sofie will guide guests through Hatha and Yin yoga and breathwork, with practices designed to ground the body, create space and support deep rest.

Based in lutruwita/Tasmania, Sofie lives on Flinders Island with her husband and two children.

Laura Tilley

Laura is a meditation teacher and mentor passionate about helping people develop a deeper relationship with themselves.

Led by creativity, intuition and a deep sense of hope, Laura’s approach draws on Vedic knowledge and philosophy, modern neuroscience and tools for expanding consciousness.

Over the past decade, she has trained intensively with teachers from around the world, continuing to deepen her knowledge and practice. Laura creates a safe and open space for people to slow down, surrender and explore new ways of being.

For The Reset, Laura will guide guests through meditation and reflection, sharing simple techniques and practices that can be carried into everyday life.

Based in lutruwita/Tasmania, Laura lives by the sea with her husband, daughter and cat, and holds regular courses and retreats across Tasmania.

Good food, shared around the table

Food is an important part of slowing down, connecting and coming together.

Throughout The Reset, Creative Director of Food Darren Purchese will prepare delicious food, tea and treats to be enjoyed together.

There will be time to sit around the table, share a meal and simply enjoy being looked after.

Because good food and good company are every bit as much a part of resetting as what happens on the yoga mat.

Your stay

You’ll spend Friday night in our brand-new Outscape accommodation, with shared rooms and access to the new spaces we’ve been creating at the Wharf.

The retreat begins at 4pm Friday, giving you time to settle into your room, have a cup of tea and land before coming together for an opening circle and grounding Hatha practice.

Friday evening will be deliberately slow — a shared dinner followed by a guided sleep meditation before bed.

Saturday begins with Hatha yoga and breathwork, followed by sauna and ice bath sessions, quiet time for journaling and reflection, and breakfast together.

Later, we’ll head outside for a silent walk in nature before returning for lunch and some completely unstructured time.

Walk. Nap. Journal. Have another sauna. Sit quietly. Or do nothing at all.

The afternoon finishes with Yin yoga, meditation and a closing circle before saying goodbye at 4pm Saturday.

Start here. Take something home.

The Reset isn’t about packing as much wellness as possible into 24 hours.

It’s about creating enough space to notice how you feel when things become a little quieter.

Sofie and Laura will share simple practices and resources that you can take home and weave into everyday life.

And for us, The Reset is a chance to open the doors of Outscape to our island community first.

Come and see what we’ve been building. Spend a night away without really going anywhere. Eat well, move, rest and give yourself a little time to reset.

Expressions of Interest

The Reset is limited to just 12 places and will cost $280 per person.

We want to make the opportunity to join us as fair as possible, so this won’t be first-in, first-served. Instead, we’re inviting locals to submit an Expression of Interest.

If we receive more than 12 expressions of interest, names will be selected at random after registrations close.

To register your interest, please email jo@onislandtime.com.au or text Jo on 0407 459 806 with your name and contact details.

Expressions of Interest close at 5 pm on Friday 9 October.

We’ll contact everyone shortly after the closing date to let you know the outcome.
