Pip Sumbak is happiest where the kitchen begins outdoors. Starting with a spot of free diving, foraging and cooking over an open fire on the rugged coastline of the Furneaux Islands. Drawn to the wild places where food begins, she has built a career guided by adventure, instinct and a deep respect for the natural world.

On Flinders Island, the line between gathering, cooking and sharing almost disappears. With Pip, guests meet food at its source: a fire on the coast, seafood lifted from the water, something gathered by hand and passed around while the light changes.
